
Our treatment plants use the principle of biological treatment to provide with their biodisks a surface, scientifically calculated in form and dimensions, where millions and millions of microorganisms capable of eliminating the pollution contained in wastewater grow naturally. We design treatments to achieve various qualities of effluent water:
Carbon removal = output water with BOD5 <25 ppm according to Directive 271/91
Total nitrification = outlet water with DB5 <15 mg / l and NH4 + <2 ppm44
Denitrification = output water with DB5 <15 mg / l NT <15 ppm
Phosphorus removal by chemical precipitation = outlet water with PT <2ppm
As can be seen in the video, the system provides a large surface area thanks to a multitude of large diameter plastic discs, arranged vertically, which maintain a certain separation between them, mounted on a central axis, which rotates slowly.
The discs remain semi-submerged in the water so that when they rotate they put the biofilm in contact with the water and the air in an alternative way. Thanks to the carefully studied slow rotation of the discs the biological culture is in contact alternately with the waste water and the oxygen of the air, providing the microorganisms that grow on the rotating surface, the food and the oxygen they need.

DISCS WITH EFFICIENT WAVES
The concentric waves of the disks are specially designed with a suitable wave depth, which prevent the biomass from accumulating, avoiding the overload of the disc and allowing a more efficient purification.

AMPLE SEPARATION BETWEN DISCS
The wide separation between the discs and the design without blind spots allow the biomass to detach correctly, which means that the disks maintain their optimum weight, thus favoring the energy efficiency of the equipment.

FLOW REDUCER ADJUSTED FOR FOR EACH POPULATION
The size of the reducer. Its direct drive and long lasting synthetic oil favor the optimal use of the energy necessary to move the biodisks.

AXLES ROBUSTNESS
All components of the axes are calculated to withstand fatigue. Manufactured in ST-52 steel, they offer great robustness thanks to their large thicknesses and stiffeners.

STAINLESS STEEL SLEEVES
Being a critical point for the operational life of the biodiscs, the sleeves are constructed of stainless steel to prevent corrosion and oxidation of the bearing. In addition, it is possible to replace them easily, thus avoiding complex and expensive repairs.

STAINLESS STEEL SUPPORT BEAMS FOR THE BIODISCS
The support bars of the biodisks are a critical point for the correct operation of the biodisks. Therefore, they are built in stainless steel to prevent breakdowns caused by premature wear of the plastic sections of the discs, thereby increasing the efficiency and durability of the equipment.

ROBUST BEARINGS
The bearings of the biodiscs are calculated to infinite life and are covered with a special long-lasting grease that only has to be checked once a year. In addition, they are installed in stainless steel seats and built in bronze cage with cast iron supports with seals, which protect them and seal then from moisture.
The components of the Acai biodiscs are specially designed and installed to simplify the process of purification of wastewater and make it easier to increase the efficiency of the process.
This allows the maintenance of the equipment to be minimal, with an annual inspection and no need for technical knowledge.
